A missing teenager from Kogarah has been found safe and well.

Katelyn Simpson’s family reported her missing to the police after she did not return home on Friday. She was last seen at Redfern station in the afternoon wearing black Adidas track suit pants with white stripes, a black Nautica short sleeve t-shirt and pink Nike joggers.

Her mother, Jennifer Muller, had on Saturday urged anyone who knows of her whereabouts to get in contact.

“Tell Kate she is not in any trouble, we just love her and want to know she is ok,” Ms Muller wrote on Facebook.

Katelyn was found safe and well at Wiley Park on Sunday morning.

Police officers from St George had launched an investigation into her disappearance. They had held concerns for her welfare due to her age.
